All the stuff we've done!

Firstly, hello! My name is Mr Hedger and I'm teaching all your wonderful, amazing and brilliant children until the Summer! So far, I've had an absolutely wonderful time. All your children are fantastic and I'm really, really looking forward to all the exciting learning we have planned.

We've already done so much already so I thought I'd update this blog with as much as I can!

Did you hear that a yellow alien crashed on the playground? We found loads of missing spaceship parts which was exciting and we made lots of 'Missing' posters so that we could find her. We learnt that the alien was called Beegu and heard a lovely story about how she came to earth long ago and made friends with some very caring children, just like the children in Elm Class. We made some super transport for Beegu so that she can find her missing spaceship part.

More recently, a very strange thing happened over half term and a toy train magically appeared in the classroom. We saw on Mr Hedger's camera that a zebra, an elephant and a lion all went on the train. Now, every single day, the train and all the animals move around the classroom! How strange! We wrote letters to My Yuill telling him about what is happening and they all look fantastic and are packed full of information. We then started learning about a book called 'Oi! Get off our Train!'

And finally, we have been learning all about some famous people from long ago. We enjoyed learning about the Wright brothers and made our own paper airplanes which we tested, evaluated and improved. Some of them went really, really far! We also started learning about Neil Armstrong and made some super spaceship artwork and are now learning about Africa. We created some super African artwork as well! Take a look:

We have done so much more besides this but there is simply too much to remember!

Thanks you for reading. Come back soon!

Mr Hedger and the Elm Class team.
